Candle Wax

Here’s some info and a sprinkle of my humble opinions which have been formed during many experiments with different waxes and their best uses to make the most unique and eye catching candles.
All candles may produce frosting (white pattern/crystallisation)during production process or over time. This is normal and will not affect your candle burn and is safe to use as normal.

Warning! Due to the complex shape of some candles they can burn unevenly and occasionally cause excessive drips or runs. Please place all candles on a suitable heat resistant concave plate or tray with a lip to avoid wax spillage and damage to furniture.

 Beeswax
(Currently Bees & Bees’n’Teddy collections only)

The bees have mainly fed on forest, wildflower and gorse blossom which gives this wax a lovely yellow colour and depth.
Organic Beeswax By Yellow Naturals. Chemical Free, Unscented, Naturally Sweet with a mild aroma.

 Palm'n'Parafin Wax

I use this mixture of Palm and Paraffin Wax for a number of reasons. minimal frosting, glossy finish, strength, colour depth and most important to me the detail captured from the mould surpasses any other types of wax that I have experimented with.

 Paraffin
(Crystal & CrystalRockXx Collection)

This is a incredible wax for a semi-transparent frosted glass or icy looks. When lit the soft warm glow of the wick will be seen through the wax. LEDs will produce a bright array of moving or static colours throughout. Can be dyed in light colour shades but works best if left the original colour.

I love to use a wood mould with this wax as the woodgrain texture and frosting enhances the beautiful wintery look.

 Soy Pillar'n'Palm

This Soy wax makes good, strong pillar candles and is fantastic for bright colours. When burning Soy candles it is very important to place them on a suitable heatproof base as they tend to burn through the side of the candle and leak wax.
